Privacy notice
Updated Oct 2, 2026 ยท Version ee79b4ec9d55
This notice says what Trends Press keeps about you, why, for how long, and who else is involved.
What we keep
- Your account: name, email address, password (only as a one-way hash), your two-factor secret and passkeys if you set them up (encrypted), your plan, and, if the site asks for it at sign-up, your date of birth (encrypted).
- How you use the site: your preferences, the sources you follow, what you saved, hid or reported, your saved views, exports (kept until they expire) and scheduled deliveries.
- Signing in: when and from which address you last signed in, and the sessions you are signed in with.
- Security: for each address that visits, a count of requests per day, its country, and the last page and browser name, kept for 30 days; and a record of security events and of what our staff did, kept to investigate abuse.
- Payments: your subscription, its invoices and the payments recorded for them. Card details go to the payment provider only.
- Emails: which optional emails you have turned off.
Who else is involved
- Payment providers (Stripe, Paddle, PayPal, Lemon Squeezy or Mollie - the one you choose) take your payment.
- Sign-in providers (Google, Apple, Microsoft and others) if you choose to sign in with one.
- Publishers: pictures and clips in trends load from their sites, which then see your address.
- When you choose a password, the first five characters of its hash - never the password - may be checked against Have I Been Pwned's list of breached passwords.
- If the site's bot check is switched on, Cloudflare Turnstile checks the sign-up and sign-in forms.
- The country of an address is looked up in a database kept on our own server (DB-IP); no address is sent anywhere for this.
Your choices and rights
You can change your details and email choices under Profile and Preferences, and delete your account under Profile: it is erased after a short grace period, except invoices, which the law makes us keep. For anything else - a copy of your data, a correction, a question - write to no-reply@trends.press.
